About the role

Scarborough TEC is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Engineering Work Based Trainer to join our apprenticeship team. As a work-based trainer, you will manage a caseload of learners, ensuring the timely achievement of their apprenticeship in accordance with the agreed apprenticeship program of delivery. Collaborating closely with other trainers and tutors, you will coordinate apprenticeships, ensuring all components align with the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours.

About the person

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular workplace visits in line with apprenticeship learning plans and guided learning hours, monitoring learner progress, complete assessments, and facilitate achievements targets. You will have to maintain accurate learner records for audit and quality purposes, undertake pre-apprenticeship and start up visits following agreed procedures while engaging employers in learning reviews and uphold a positive image of workforce skills.

The candidate will be fully qualified (minimum Level 3) and have relevant work/industrial experience within the Engineering industry. Candidates will also hold the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and desirable for you to also hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (if old qualifications are held e.g., A1 or V1, it is essential that you are willing to update to the new standards.)
