We are now offering a fantastic opportunity to join the East Riding College in the role of Work Based Trainer Electrical. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate work-based trainer to join our apprenticeship team. The successful candidate will join a team of specialists within the apprenticeship team and will manage a cohort of learners to support them during the completion of their installation electrician apprenticeships.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate work-based trainer with industry experience and skills in the electrical industry to join our apprenticeship team. The role will involve travel between employers as well as college time with learners and tutors. You will provide high quality and responsive training, support, coaching and mentoring to a caseload of apprentices, developing their knowledge, skills and behaviours and prepare apprentices for End Point Assessment.

Duties will include:

  • Managing a caseload of apprentices ensuring timely achievement
  • Coordinate all aspects of the apprenticeship programme, working closely with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring on and off the job is contextualized and meets the required standards
  • Regular attendance in the workplace to support the development of knowledge, skills and behaviors
  • Monitor learner progress and ensure regular reviews are completed
  • Provide excellent customer service and engage employers at all stages of the apprentice journey
  • Provide training, support and guidance in preparation for end point assessment
  • Maintain learners records accurately
  • Complete all required administration, including e-portfolio and college record systems and processes

About the person

You will possess a Level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience in Electrical with excellent communication skills, commitment to quality and organisation skills.

The successful candidate will join a team of specialists within the apprenticeship team and will manage a cohort of learners to support them during the completion of their Installation Electrician apprenticeships. The You will possess a Level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience in Electrical with excellent communication skills, commitment to quality and organisational skills. If you are an industry professional who wishes to move into education, full training will be given to the right candidate.
