£21,665 – £24,493 per annum + market weighting of up to £6,500

We are looking for a committed and dynamic Electrical Work Based Trainer within Apprenticeships to join Scarborough TEC. If you are currently an experienced Electrical Tutor/Assessor or currently working in the Electrical industry looking for a fresh challenge and are passionate about supporting young people achieve their Career Aspirations within Industry, then this might be the opportunity for you!
The main duties of the role are to engage, work with and provide training for Learners and support the Employers to ensure all training solutions delivered meet both the requirements of the Education Inspection framework (EIF) and any mandatory auditable processes. To also deliver quality training in order to progress individuals through a period of learning that enhances their ability to perform in their current role and improve their chances of career progression.
You will also be required to support with recruitment of learners and complete mandatory paperwork as part of the sign-up process, along with regular reviews of learning to ensure progress is being maintained.
Ideally candidates will be fully qualified (minimum Level 3) and have relevant work/industrial experience within the Electrical industry, competent with IT (Microsoft Office, Systems etc.) and have some knowledge on Apprenticeship Standards. Those without teaching experience, but willing to train towards, are welcome to apply. It is also highly desirable that you hold (or be willing to work towards) the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and also desirable for you to also hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (if old qualifications are held (e.g. A1 or V1) it is essential that you are willing to update to the new standards).
A current full clear driving licence is essential to this role.
