Work Based Trainer Electrical 22/227 

£21,989 – £24,860 per annum plus up to £6,500 Market Weighting 

37 hours per week

About the role 

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Work Based Trainer to join the Apprenticeship team based at Scarborough TEC. This is a fast-paced and diverse role, in which you will work closely with Apprentices, Employers and Programme Leaders to provide high quality and responsive training and support.

Other duties will include:
• Recruitment to caseload target
• Workplace visits/travel
• Maintaining learner records
• Analysing data and producing reports using a range of systems
• Support new Work Based Trainers and act as a mentor and ‘work buddy’ when needed
• Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) 

About the person 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be fully qualified to a minimum of Level 3 and have relevant work/industrial experience within the Electrical industry. Candidates should also be competent with IT (Microsoft Office, Systems etc.) and have some knowledge on Apprenticeship Standards. Those without teaching/assessing experience, but willing to train towards, are welcome to apply. It is also highly desirable that candidates hold (or are willing to work towards) the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and it is also desirable that candidates hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (if old qualifications are held (e.g. A1 or V1) it is essential that you are willing to update to the new standards).

A current full clear driving licence is essential and candidates should also have:
• Level 2/GCSE Maths and English
• Experience of analysing & monitoring data
• Current full clear driving licence is essential.
