TAG is a 14-16 school, operated by The Grimsby Institute, which specialises in vocational qualifications alongside academic routes. The pastoral team is a fundamental part of the success of the school, rated outstanding by Ofsted last year.
This is a key post within the Learner Services function, supporting the successful progression of students. Success Coaches will be required to work with teaching staff and the Inclusion team, to liaise with parents/carers where required, provide key information relating to the student journey and the tutorial programme.
There will be an element of Safeguarding responsibility and an expectation that Success Coaches will work in conjunction with the Intensive Support Team and the inclusion team as well as all key staff in the college. A key aspect of this role will be supporting the learner’s academic success, through holding regular progress 1-1 meetings with learners and providing pastoral support to learners as appropriate, this can include supporting learners with challenging behaviour; so, experience within this area is paramount.
