About the role

This is a key post within the Learner Services function at Grimsby Institute, supporting the successful progression of students on their chosen programme of study. Success Coaches work alongside curriculum teams, providing comprehensive pastoral support to learners and leading on the delivery of the group tutorial and enrichment programme.

About the person

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with learners. Candidates should also have experience of working with young people and the ability to deliver engaging activities and interventions. Knowledge of external agencies and support services and an understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults is essential.

Candidates should also have:

  • Positive interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to learners and deal professionally with colleagues and external agencies.
  • The ability to remain calm during conflict.
  • The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
