About the role 

The Foundation and Learning Support area is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic SENCo to lead an experienced SEND team who provide learning support across the college to learners with Education, Health and Care Plans and learners with additional support needs. The successful candidate will need to lead on the allocation of staffing to support EHC Plan learners whilst being central to the required statutory requirements of EHC Plans. Staff development and cascading relevant information to all staff will be critical to the role. 

About the person 

The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and teamworking skills. These will have a strong learner centred focus. 

Candidates should also have: 

  • Extensive experience of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHC Plans) 
  • A specialist SENCo qualification 
  • Recent SEND experience 
  • ICT competency
