MODAL Training provides a wide range of courses and bespoke competency development to the maritime, offshore, ports and logistics sectors. We are part of the TEC Partnership, which is a group of dynamic and innovative further and higher education colleges and training providers.
We deliver classroom, simulator and blended learning approaches to create a world-class training. Due to recent expansion, we now have an opening for a full-time Safety and Maritime Training Instructor.
The post holder will deliver high-quality specialist safety training using a simulation rig for offshore wind turbines personnel and develop and deliver maritime training, including supporting training of Merchant Navy Cadets.
The quality of training and the customer experience is vital to our approach so our ideal candidate will share our vision.
You will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised and proactive. You should be able to work on your own initiative and can work as part of a team. With a positive and professional attitude, you will add value across all that we do.
The successful will have experience of providing training to the offshore and maritime sectors. You will able to demonstrate experience in the delivery and assessing of training in accordance with course learning plans, and within small groups in both a classroom and practical environment. You are also likely to hold certification and/or recognition from offshore, maritime or related sectors. Experience of training in working at heights and experience in teaching and/or curriculum development would be a distinct advantage. You should hold a recognised assessor and a teaching qualification.
