£18,401 FTE (£13,003.43 pro rata per annum)

30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

About the role

The Catering Supervisor is a key role within the College and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the refectories and teams at each site. As Catering Supervisor, you will supervise the catering outlets at both the Beverley and Bridlington campuses. Your responsibilities will include developing the menus and ensuring the preparation, cooking and serving of well-balanced nutritional light meals and snacks, working within budgetary controls and health and safety requirements.  You will supervise the Catering team covering the refectories. You will be responsible for the ordering process for both refectories. This post will be a 50/50 split between the Beverley and Bridlington campuses.

About the person

The successful candidate will have strong understanding of the catering industry and experience in a related role, as well as experience of supervising staff.  You will have knowledge of licensing and health and safety compliance, and the ability to maintain records of foods and finances and the ordering of stock within a strict budget.

Applicants must possess (or be willing to work towards) a level 3 qualification within a Catering based subject with the opportunity to gain Level 4, numeracy and literacy at level 2  and hold a basic health and safety/ Food hygiene certificate.  The successful candidate will have strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
