About the role
Are you a practicing nurse with a teaching qualification (or near to completing one) or a nurse who has taught nursing? You may be considering a split role balancing some teaching alongside nursing work, or reducing your work hours from an existing full time role and we may be able to support this through a job share. The Faculty of Health and Wellbeing is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic candidate with specific expertise in Adult Nursing to co-lead our Nursing programme with our team of specialist colleagues. The successful candidate(s) will contribute to the delivery of the curriculum across all areas of the Foundation degrees within the school of Health and Care Industries. Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
About the person
The suitable post holder must hold at least three years or more post-registration professional experience of delivering, leading and managing services for adults needing health care interventions. Clinical skills tuition will be essential and fundamental to the role. The post will involve the supervision of undergraduate students, including practice placements. You will have a commitment to engaging with the practice environment and maintain up to date knowledge and skills enabling the delivery of a dynamic, responsive curriculum in line with current nursing standard. Support and remission will be available to maintain this.
