Programme Leader Fabrication and Welding (23/153) 

£27,660 – £34,580 per annum + market weighting payment of £2,262 per annum 

37 hours per week 


Location: Nuns Corner, Grimsby

About the role 

The department of Manufacturing Engineering are looking to appoint a motivated Welder to join the outstanding team. The successful candidate will join a team of specialists in their own subject areas to provide an exceptional service to our learners through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. They will manage a cohort of learners and support all learners within the faculty to achieve highly. Other duties include:
– Undertaking admin duties relating to curriculum.
– Setting academic targets.
– Taking part in events such as taster days, open events and curriculum enrolment.
– Supporting in achievement of all learners through higher grade workshops.
– Ensuring learners are work ready and support progression to higher level study.
– Supporting the enhancement of the department and provisions. 

About the person 

The successful candidate will have previous experience delivering in a Fabrication and welding or Pipefitting environment, have excellent communication skills with a focus on learner success as well as strong organisation and industry relevant skills.  

Candidates should also have:
– Level 2/GCSE Maths and English
– Relevant qualification to level 3
– Industry related experience (Pipefitting/Welding)
– Planning skills which will include preparing for teaching and learning
– ICT competency.
