£26,910 – £33,830 per annum

About the role 

We are looking for a committed and dynamic Joinery Programme Leader to join Scarborough TEC. If you are currently an experienced Joinery Programme Leader, or currently working in the Joinery/Construction industry and looking for a fresh challenge and are passionate about supporting young people achieve their career aspirations within industry, Scarborough TEC has the career for you.  As a Programme Leader, you will lead the course team(s) and provision and drive a high quality learner experience through all stages of the learning journey. Key responsibilities of the role consist of:

  • Inducting, teaching, facilitating and tracking of learner progress.
  • Recruitment of learners onto appropriate programmes and levels of study.
  • Take an active role in ongoing development of new programmes of study that meet the changing needs of learners.
  • Plan for and assess learners according to awarding body/ quality standards and Institute Group requirements and provide high quality and timely feedback to learners on all assessments.
  • Positively promote and engage in enrichment activities with learners both as part of the curriculum and in centrally organised activities.

About the person 

Candidates will ideally be fully qualified (minimum Level 3) and have relevant work/industrial experience within the Construction industry as a Joiner. Candidates should also have a teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards this. It is also highly desirable that candidates hold or are willing to work towards the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and also hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (if old qualifications are held (e.g. A1 or V1) it is essential that you are willing to update to the new standards).
