About the role

The department of Mechanical and Electrical & Electronic Engineering are looking to appoint a motivated individual to join their outstanding team. The successful candidate will join a team of specialists in their own subject areas to provide an exceptional service to our learners through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. They will manage a cohort of learners and support all learners within the department to achieve highly. Other duties include:

  • Undertaking admin duties related to curriculum
  • Setting academic targets
  • Taking part in events such as tasters, open events and enrolment
  • Supporting in achievement of all learners through higher grade workshops
  • Ensuring learners are work ready and support progression to higher level study
  • Supporting the enhancement of the department and provision

About the person

The successful candidate must be qualified to a minimum of level 5 HND or equivalent. Industrial experience is preferred. You will hold a teaching qualification, or be willing towards this. You will have excellent communication skills with a focus on learner success, as well as strong organisation and industry relevant skills. Candidates should also have: Level 2/GCSE Maths and English, sufficient industry experience and/or relevant qualification to level 5, planning skills which will include preparing for teaching & learning ICT competency.
