About the role

The faculty of Creative and Digital are now looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Programme Leader to join the well-established team. This is a fast-paced and diverse role, in which you will work closely with other Programme Leaders and Curriculum/Support Staff to provide high quality and responsive teaching within the Department on both Further education and Higher education programs.  Key responsibilities of the role consist of:

  • Planning monitoring and teaching the curriculum for Digital subjects including cyber security, creative and digital media and digital design
  • Dealing with student/parent queries via phone, email and letter
  • Maintaining records
  • Monitoring attendance and behaviour including implementing any interventions
  • Analysing data and producing reports using a range of systems

About the person

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude to change, be flexible and adaptable, able to communicate and foster relationships with others and have a willingness to help others. You will have recent experience of working and teaching within the curriculum area, evidence of curriculum planning and assessment writing. A relevant Computing degree or equivalent qualification and it is desirable to hold a cert/ed or PGCE teaching qualification. Knowledge of computer science, hardware and software, cyber security, web development software, networking and social media are necessary. Excellent ICT use of office programs are also necessary. Candidates should be learner focused, an effective communicator with enthusiasm and commitment to learner’s achievement and success. Working under pressure and the ability to prioritise is also a necessary skill along with the willingness to be flexible.
