£13,256.50 – £16,665 per annum (FTE £26,513 – £33,330)

We are looking for a committed and dynamic Computing Programme Leader at Scarborough TEC to teach across Computing, Game Development & Digital Design, with a focus on computing. If you are currently an experienced Computing Tutor / Programme Leader, or currently working in the Computing industry looking for a fresh challenge and are passionate about supporting young people achieve their Career Aspirations within Industry, Scarborough TEC has the career for you.
Ideally candidates will be fully qualified with a Degree / HND in a relevant subject area. Programming & Industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Those without teaching experience, but willing to train towards, are welcome to apply. It is also highly desirable that you hold ( or be willing to work towards ) the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and also desirable for you to also hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (if old qualifications are held (e.g. A1 or V1) it is essential that you are willing to update to the new standards).
This post will suit an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer with a background in Computing / Games Development & Digital Design. In this role, you will lead one of the Computing Programmes, providing students with a dynamic Study Programme that will set them up ready for the world of work or progression onto University, whilst tracking students and keeping them on track for all elements of their study program. This is a great opportunity to watch the learners develop throughout their course as you will also be responsible for all elements including, Tutorials and High Grades. The key responsibilities of this role are creating Schemes of Work and delivering great Teaching and Learning to ensure that our Learners are provided with a positive experience.
