£26,910 – £33,830 per annum 

37 hours per week 

Fixed term until 31st March 2023

About the role 

If you are passionate about ensuring that learners reach their full potential, supporting them in achieving their career aspirations within Industry and want to make a difference, we want to hear from you! We are looking for a committed and dynamic Automotive Programme Leader to join Scarborough TEC at an exciting moment in its development as we develop our Electric Vehicle training centre and Garage. If you are currently an experienced Automotive Programme Leader, or currently working in the Automotive industry looking for a fresh challenge, Scarborough TEC has the career for you. 

This post will suit an enthusiastic and motivated person with a background in Automotive service and repair. In this role, you will work with the Automotive Programme developing our new Electric Vehicle training program, providing students with a dynamic study programme that will set them up ready for the world of work, in a realistic industry environment. You will also teach L2, L3 and L4 Electric Vehicle courses and facilitate the running of a live commercial workshop providing learners with valuable work experience. This is a great opportunity to watch the learners develop throughout their course. 

About the person 

Ideally candidates will be fully qualified (minimum Level 3) and have relevant work/industrial experience within the Automotive industry as a Vehicle Technician. Electric vehicle qualifications and experience or willingness to work towards will be an advantage. Those without teaching experience, but willing to train towards, are welcome to apply. It is also highly desirable that you hold (or be willing to work towards) the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and desirable for you to also hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (if old qualifications are held (e.g. A1 or V1) it is essential that you are willing to update to the new standards).  

The key responsibilities of this role are creating schemes of work to deliver great teaching and learning ensuring that our learners are provided with a positive experience, developing and sourcing electric vehicle resources.
