22.2 hours per week, 38 weeks term time
Based in beautiful Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Coast, Scarborough TEC is a small friendly college, part of the TEC Partnerhsip Group, which is a large, innovative, dynamic and financially sound organisation. We are officially the only outstanding provider of Further Education in Scarborough.
We are looking for Learning Support Practitioners to join the Scarborough TEC Student Support Team. In this exciting and rewarding role you will support the effective delivery of student support for our students identified with additional learning needs including those with Education, Health and Care plans. We are looking for Team players to work alongside our existing team of learning support practitioners and who ideally have experience of working with young people with a range of learning difficulties. The role involves in class support of learners with a variety of needs, enabling them to access their education and have a full experience in college.
Candidates will have a Level 2 support qualification and level 3 Support Qualification or willingness to work towards. Experience working with people with special education needs, knowledge of further education setting, good ICT skills, ability to work as part of a team, excellent communication skills, good organisation and administration skills.
