About the role
This exciting role is to join the learning support team at Scarborough TEC. The role is to provide support to EHCP students within the college, whether this be in class, in social times or practical off site sessions. The learning support practitioner role is integral to the achievement and progress of students with support needs in education.
About the person
Candidates will be able to build trust and respect with students and colleagues and have a passion for education and supporting young people. They must be able to work as a team within the support department, and the wider team of college staff. Candidates should have a minimum of a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English, a Level 3 vocational qualification and a Level 3 support qualification or a willingness to work towards.
Candidates should also have; a positive attitude to change, flexibility and adaptability, excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop self and others.
