Learning Support Advisor: HE Support (20-21-73)

£7,074.57 per annum (FTE £17,372)

18.5 hours per week, 36 weeks per year

Fixed term until July 2022

Location: Beverley with cross campus travel as required

As a Learning Support Advisor dedicated to HE specific support, you will take the role of assisting HE students with their academic skills to enable positive progression on their programmes, with a particular focus on delivering small group/individual tutorials in the College Success Centre and online.

You will hold a minimum of a BA Hons degree in any discipline, and ideally have experience in supporting and delivering small group support focusing on improving academic skills such as proof reading, essay writing and critical analysis. You will have experience of delivering learning support in an educational setting in both a class and small group scenario. You must be a strong role model for Higher Education at every opportunity and have the ability to build rapport and relationships with learners who may be disengaged with the subject. A knowledge of delivering online support via Microsoft Teams would be desirable.
