Learning Support Advisor (23/181) 

£22,250 FTE (£9,020.27 pro rata per annum)

15 hours per week

About the role 

We are now looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic, Learning Support Advisor to join the well-established team. This is a fast-paced and diverse role, in which you will assist academic staff in providing effective educational opportunities and support for learners with additional needs, including the promotion of learners’ literacy, numeracy, and study skills.  

Other duties will include:  

  • Supporting the research, design, and implementation of learning resources, that can be used to facilitate delivery of small group and 1:1 intervention. 
  • Working on a 1:1, small group, or class support basis with learners in English and Maths provision  
  • Providing support to all learners in the College’s Success Centre 
  • To be responsible, as directed by their line manager, for managing directed private learning (DPL) with groups of students if required. 

About the person 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with a focus on learners.  You should have strong organisation and administrative skills and be both resilient and flexible.  It is also highly desirable for you to have experience of supporting learners in an educational environment. 

Candidates should be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification in learning support Minimum Grade B/6 or above in GCSE English and/or Mathematics.
