About the person
The role includes the core elements of personal careers guidance activities to support employability and progression and routes to industry. To create and promote new careers resources within STEM subjects in engineering, building services, Electric Vehicle and technical service occupations. A vital element of the role is to work in close collaboration with faculty teams to meet and maintain the requirements for national benchmarks and support students with internal and external progression. Participation at events and partnership work is a key element of this role for the effective delivery of the project’s careers programme. In Addition, other responsibilities include working with programme leaders and management teams to support them in their work with students. Managing a case load of students and contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of the projects outcomes. Assisting in the development of materials and resources for staff and students across a range of platforms. Collating, interpreting and presenting statistical data and LMI in order to establish priorities in terms of work and facilitate the delivery of guidance informed by current skills shortages. Undertaking liaison activities with parents as appropriate. Providing impartial careers IAG at points of transition for all students and facilitating personal guidance and group activities with adult students.
