Fixed Term until 31st July 2023

About the role
Following sustained growth in Human Resources and Management apprenticeships, the department of Business and the Leisure Economy is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic assessor. The successful candidate will have regular workplace monitoring contact with apprentices and their employers, and will support apprentices to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to successfully complete their end point assessment.

This role will involve regular workplace visits to review progress with apprentices and their employers training apprentices in the workplace and preparing them for End Point Asssessment. You will monitor the attendance of apprentices at theory and English and Maths lessons (where appropriate) reporting to the Head of Curriculum on learner progress. You will also liaise with End Point Assessment organisations to schedule assessments and liaise with the internal workplace learning contracts team and business development team.

About the person
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and administrative skills with a clear focus on quality and customer service.

Candidates should also have:

  • Level 2 GCSE Maths and English
  • A minimum of Level 3 CIPD or Management qualification
  • Experience of working within an HR role
  • Experience of working within a management role
  • Experience of working with learners to identify sources of performance evidence
  • ICT literate
  • Clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle
