About the role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Finance Department that will suit an individual who can provide a high standard of support in processing supplier invoices, reconciliation of supplier statements, internal and external mail, cash handling and contact with customers and suppliers both face to face and over the telephone. If you are an organized and forward-thinking team player with determination to work to a consistently high standard, then this could be the opportunity for you. 

About the person 

The post holder will be a key user of the Exchequer finance system. There will be opportunities for cross-covering other Finance Team Members in processing Bank and Bursary Payments. The purpose of this role is to be actively involved in most aspects of a busy Transactional Finance Office.

There will also be the need to provide cover during staff absences, particularly at month and year end, for which on the job training will be provided to develop your knowledge and skills.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• GCSE/Level 2 Mathematics
• GSCE/Level 2 English
• Use of computerised systems
• IT Literate including Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of financial policies and procedures
• At least two years’ experience within a Transactional Finance Office
• Commitment and adherence to deadlines
• Good understanding of double entry and basic accounting principles
