37.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

The TEC Partnership is a large, innovative, dynamic and financially sound organisation. We are officially an “Outstanding” educational provider.
We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to work within our baby room (3 months to 15 months) initially. The successful candidate must have a passion for working with babies and be attentive to their needs. You must also be able to build up excellent relationships with parents/carers.
The purpose of this role is to support children to reach their own individual potential and to ensure that all children in our care are in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. The ideal applicant will ensure high quality implementation of early years provision within the statutory framework of EYFS and other legislative guidance and policies. You will be a key person for a nominated group of children and be responsible for planning, observing, evaluating, assessment and record keeping in accordance with the EYFS.
This role will involve being proactive in identifying areas of developmental concern, for which a child may need additional support. You will ensure the appropriate activities are planned and developed to meet the needs of these children through their Individual Educational Plans. The successful candidate will keep parent/carers updated with regards to their child’s progress, health and well-being on a regular basis using learning journeys, open events, verbal and written communication.
You will be required to clean and maintain high hygienic standards at all times. This includes adhering to the daily cleaning rota, nappy changing and other nursery housekeeping duties. In addition, you will be required to attend staff meetings, room meetings, open events and other relevant meetings as identified by the management team or TEC Partnership as part of your personal development and professional updating.
You will hold a level 3 qualification or above in Early Years and a working with babies qualification or certificate would be an advantage. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will also possess the ability to work as part of a team work as well as being able to use your own initiative.
