The Higher Education Curriculum area of Health Care Industries is looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Curriculum Manager to lead our diverse portfolio of programmes. We are looking to recruit an individual who has direct clinical experience in a related field, in addition to experience of Higher Education teaching and management. It is a requirement that the role  will include a 0.5 teaching commitment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of staff and programmes which include BSc Nursing & Psychology, Professional Health Care studies, Counselling, Health and Social care and Mental Health.  In-depth understanding and working knowledge of the practices and expectations of higher education is crucial as is the ability to forge and develop outstanding working partnerships with external agencies and organisations, which will aid the curriculum planning process within the area. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in supporting our desire to inspire ambition and make a positive difference within our local community and beyond.

The successful applicant will ideally have relevant industry experience and teaching within a HE environment.  They will be expected to contribute to teaching across levels 4 – 6 on both our Foundation and Bachelors degree programmes.

Applicants should hold:

  • A relevant degree in one of the related programme areas
  • Hold a Masters degree or demonstrate willingness to work towards this
  • Industry related experience
  • A teaching qualification
  • Level 2/GCSE Literacy and Numeracy
  • Excellent ICT skills
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills
