The College Counsellor is a role that sits within the learner services team at the Grimsby Institute. This role provides much needed counselling support to all of our learners across the 14-16, FE and HE provision. If you are a qualified counsellor with proven experience, then we would like to hear from you.
As a counsellor you will hold a case load of learners requiring counselling support on a 1-1 basis; via face to face, telephone or online appointments. Candidates will work to high ethical and professional standards that align with BACP best practice guidelines. You will maintain the standards and reputation of the TEC Partnership and will deliver outcomes set out by the management team.
As a counsellor you will hold a recognised counselling qualification and have proven experience of providing successful counselling support. You will ideally be BACP accredited or willing to work towards this. The role requires the completion of comprehensive reports to be produced on a biannual basis and a counselling update to be provided on a termly basis as part of the safeguarding committee, of which you will become a member.
