About the role
This role will require the preparation, organisation and ordering of specialist equipment and resources within the catering department. As a technician you will be required to assist in the supervision and safeguarding of learners and ensure that safe record keeping is carried out. The role requires frequent stock takes to be carried out and the maintenance of designated areas and specialist equipment. You will further support the team by preparing resources for internal and external events and comply with relevant occupational standards. You will be expected to follow the groups purchasing policy along with all other group policies.
About the person
Candidates should hold a Level 2 and above qualification in a related area and hold Level 2 Maths and English at Grade C or equivalent (or a willingness to work towards within 12 months).
You will be able to demonstrate specialist area knowledge and be up-to-date in contemporary practice and work standards. You should be willing to undertake a First Aid Qualification within the first 12 months of employment and have excellent organisational and communication skills with a flexible approach to working.
