Casual bank position
The TEC Partnership is a large, innovative, dynamic and financially sound organisation. We are officially an “outstanding” educational provider.
The FdSc and BSc (Hons) top-up BA (Hons) Computing Technologies course focuses on the role of technology in supporting business across a range of contexts and sizes. The course is a choice for students who want to commit to an innovative programme of studio based study. This is an exciting time as we embark on the next stage of the programme’s development within the new Institute of Technology here at the Institute. A newly developed Foundation Degree in Digital & Technology Solutions will replace the existing course in 2 years and sit alongside programmes in Software Development, 3D Visualisation, Engineering. This new programme will offer opportunities for a full-time and online learning option. The person appointed to this post will lead and manage the distance learning programme and will also deliver teaching on the full time, face to face programme.
Reporting to and working with the Curriculum Manager for HE Digital & Creative Industries, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Casual Bank Programme Leader to support the transition to this dynamic new course and lead on modules moving forwards. The main focus on the role will be to lead, develop, deliver, support and assess modules that challenge students to define and refine their specialist practice. You will support their development of an informed understanding of the historic, contemporary and professional contexts in which digital technology exists. Our students engage in a range of approaches to digital technologies and you will have a strong understanding of how to support specialist practices within a broader business context at level 4, 5 and 6. You will be expected to deliver the practical, conceptual and contextual aspects of the course in addition to supporting research and writing skills. You will also need the skills or connections to build links with FE colleagues, appropriate external organisations, events and opportunities for student engagement in industry. Working individually and as a member of a team you will be expected to deliver teaching within a variety of settings including lectures, seminars, studio workshops, peer reviews and individual tutorials.
