Casual Programme Leader Crime & Society (20/336)

£19.34 per hour + £4.84 holiday pay – £21.46 per hour + £5.37 holiday pay

Hours are variable

Location: Career 6, Nuns Corner, Grimsby

Please note that this is not a permanent position. The hours are on an as and when basis.

Career 6 is part of Grimsby Institute and offer A levels through different pathways that allow students to develop the skills, qualifications and experiences to be successful in their chosen career; we are based in the university centre to help inspire students to progress on to higher education.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Programme Leader to teach Sociology/Psychology/Criminology or Politics at Level 3 on our Crime and Society/Humanities pathways. The post is available on a casual basis for approximately 5 hours per week.

Successful candidates must have a degree (or equivalent) in a related subject, along with class teaching experience gained either in a school or college setting.  You must have demonstrable high levels of skill in leading teaching and learning and be able to motivate, enthuse and challenge students to produce the highest quality work. Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, together with a commitment to working with students from a range of different backgrounds, are also essential.
