£19.34 per hour + £4.84 holiday pay

Please note that this is not a permanent position. The hours are on an as and when basis.

As a Civil Engineering CAD Tutor teaching on our part time and apprenticeship courses. You will prepare and assemble suitable teaching materials and learning resources for the delivery of all courses/classes designated (L2 2D – L3 3D). It will be a requirement of the role to maintain up-to-date syllabi for all courses/classes taught and respond to new curriculum issues affecting programme delivery and student learning/training activities. You will also manage, develop, promote and review the learning programmes within the area and be aware of and apply national trends and developments within the programme area in order to maximise learner success, achievement and retention.
Teaching hours will be on a Wednesday evening 5.30pm – 8.30pm and will be based at our Flemingate campus in Beverley.
The ideal candidate will have relevant construction industry experience and be able to relate this to your teaching of CAD in a classroom environment. Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD 2D and Parametric Modelling is essential. Additional knowledge of alternative CAD software would be advantageous. The successful candidate will also hold a teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed.) or be willing to work towards as well as an awareness of current curriculum and sector developments.
