About the role

As a dog grooming technician you will provide technical support for the running of both educational and commercial dog grooming activities within the animal care department at TEC Partnership. Key responsibilities will include:

-Opening of grooming facilities when required.
-Setting up teaching rooms and facilities ready for practical delivery
-Supporting practical delivery of dog grooming
-Maintaining equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient running of operations
-Supporting with events and open evenings when required (this may include evenings and weekends)
-Providing customer service for commercial grooming activities including taking bookings, collecting and returning dogs and taking payments
-Supporting the husbandry of animals on campus
-Cleaning practical areas and maintaining general housekeeping before, during and after practical lessons
-Supporting the wider animal care technical team when required

About the person

Previous experience of working in a commercial dog grooming facility is essential and the successful candidate will also possess excellent customer service skills. It is essential that the successful candidate will hae the flexibility and capacity to work evenings and weekends when required for events and hold a Level 3 dog grooming qualification as well as Level 2/GCSE Maths and English. Experience of supporting teaching, training and learning is also desirable.
