Academic Mentor (20-21-72)
£14,149.14 per annum (FTE £17,372)
37 hours per week, 36 weeks per year
Fixed term until July 2022

The successful applicant will assist academic staff in facilitating effective additional educational opportunities and support for learners with additional needs and/or knowledge and skills gaps to support completion of their studies and future positive progression. The candidate will plan and deliver intervention to individuals and small groups (face to face or virtually) to support learners progress. The candidate will liaise with curriculum and English and Maths staff to monitor and track learners progress as directed by the Learning Support Supervisor and Head of Curriculum.
You will have experience in delivering learning support/mentoring and/or coaching within an educational setting. Specific experience in supporting GCSE/Functional Skills in English and/or Maths is desired. You will hold a minimum of a Grade B/6 in English and/or Maths. Confident use of Microsoft Teams is desirable.
