Position: Head of Quality, English and Maths
Reports to: Vice Principal

Scarborough TEC are on the lookout for a driven, organised and enthusiastic leader to Head up their Quality team and also to have responsibility for the English, Maths and Teacher Education Curriculum. This is a diverse role providing a great challenge for someone to develop and grow a number of key areas for the College.

Scarborough TEC, based in beautiful Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Coast, is part of the larger TEC Partnership. A forward-thinking organisation with a focus on excellence, providing a wide range of educational opportunities, with the learners at the heart of all we do…We are officially the only outstanding provider of Further Education in Scarborough and the surrounding area.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Quality Strategy at Scarborough TEC, with a specific focus on; Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Attendance, Retention, Achievement and the standard of the data output. The successful candidate will also lead the Curriculum staff in English, Maths and Teacher Education to ensure excellence within the provisions.

The successful candidate must have a competent knowledge and understanding of Quality, Teaching, Learning and Assessment and Awarding Bodies. You will also need to be able to communicate well across all levels of the College and build efficient relationships with all key stakeholders, both internal and external.
